Pumpkin Patch Visit

After nearly a month-long blogging hiatus (with no good excuse), I'm back to update the blog with pictures from today's visit to a pumpkin patch.  (As a side note, it sure is easy to do a year-to-year comparison when you have pumpkins in the picture!)

Here is Landry at last year's visit to the pumpkin patch.  We had the hardest time getting this curious six-month-old to look at the camera because he preferred to look at the cars driving by on the busy street behind us.  This was our best picture of him out of a whole lot of mediocre shots!

Fast foward a year, and aspects of this visit were eerily similiar to last year's visit:  Namely, Landry was much more interested in cars than pumpkins.  This year, however, instead of just staring at cars, he wanted to chase them.  As additional complications, we also encountered a boy who wanted to hold the camera instead of having his picture taken and a boy who thought that pumpkins made great balls to throw. The end result was our second year in a row of a whole lot of effort to get a few decent pumpkin patch pictures.

Here are the ones we consider keepers:

This pumpkin patch was set-up at a park in our new neighborhood, and it sure was nice to have a 2 minute drive back to the house afterwards!  (I think Brian only missed one series of the Cowboys' game with all the commercials and an injury time-out sandwiched in-between!)
