I continue to be amazed at the similarities between the two of them!

One of My New Favorite Hobbies...
...is dressing up Shannon in Landry's hand-me-down clothes and taking a picture to see if I can see similarities between the two of them. This is Shannon at 12 weeks (or at an adjusted age of 6 weeks) and Landry at 6 weeks.
I Am Not Sure...
that Ralph Lauren ever anticipated his brand would be worn like this! It's a combination of strawberry juice, red grape juice (Hooray! We now have a third fruit that Landry loves to eat.) and Girl Scout Thin Mint cookie crumbs. I'm admittedly biased, but I think he wears it quite well!

February Recap
It's hard to believe that February is gone already! It was a busy month for us - filled with doctors' appointments, our return to BSF, and a few fun outings thrown in the mix.
Here is a recap of some of the highlights:

Here is a recap of some of the highlights:
Shannon:
- Returned to the pediatric opthamologist for the second time to make sure that his retina was not damaged by the oxygen he received in the hospital. He received a great report and doesn't have to go back until December. I was so thankful for that news because these appointments were extremely traumatic for him, and that, in turn, made them dreadful for me to sit through.
- Ended the month weighing over 11 lbs. As best I can tell, that puts him above the 90th percentile on the preemie growth chart in weight. We're so thankful that he is gaining weight, despite his swallowing issues.
- Is starting to give us a little bit longer stretch at night. Four hours is starting to be commonplace around here, and he's even given us a couple of five hour stretches! We're still holding out hope that he'll be a better sleeper than Landry.
- Is starting to display his own unique personality. He LOVES music on his swing and bouncy chair, but he doesn't really care for the actual swinging or vibrating motions. This is the exact opposite of Landry.
Landry:
- Continues to be obsessed with all types of vehicles...cars, trucks, trains, tractors, etc.
- Has fallen in love with the Herman Park Train. He talks about the "choo-choo" nearly every day.
- Took a trip to the zoo with Grandma and now talks about gorillas, lions, and giraffes
- Took an overnight trip to Brenham to stay with Grammie and PopPop and had a great time at a cattle auction and purchasing fish for their pond.
- Has slept until almost 9am twice this month....What a gift that was for a sleep-deprived mom!
